I'm a more than decent guy with an ongoing appetite for life.
I've wide cultural tastes from the arts to cars and have a quick mind. Pretty wicked sense of humour having been brought up with The Goons, Monty Python, the Goodies and Spike Milligan. My comic heroes are Dave Allen, Jim Davidson, Billy Connolly and Lenny Bruce.
Love old British humour like the Ealing Comedies, Carry On movies and now unPC TV like Till Death do us Part.
Musically, primarily 60's, 70's and 80's, but tastes well beyond that. Part of my Dessert Island Disks set would be Jerusalem, The Boxer (Simon & Garfunkle) and Should I Stay or Should I Go (The Clash).
Love all authentic foods especially Cantonese, Indian, Caribbean, Italian and Eastern European.
I still work in my own business but no longer to the exclusion of everything else. I enjoy Fairs, Antique Shows, theatre, galleries, motor sport and classic cars.
Probably too loyal for my own good, but that's who I am. Into dogs, miss not having a cat. I'm properly house trained, can cook, do the washing and bloody ironing if I have to, albeit one can take a perverse pleasure in a good crease 😂.
I'm looking to meet someone at ease with themselves, a subversive sense of humour, right of centre politically but love helping people to help themselves as per Co-Ops, Mutuals and The John Lewis Partnership, being the models I follow in my own businesses.
Love beach holidays with my favourite time of day is when the hot sun is going down and a sophisticated evening is coming up.
I'm moderately fit and active, but not a gym person although I did once enjoy rowing and squash. I smoke, drink, swear, shout at the TV and the headlines.
Not into endless messaging and prefer real conversations with real, honest and financially solvent people. Sanity is much overrated so being relatively nuts works for me.
