About him
Hi, I’m a graduate with a postgrad in education. Honours project was a real chore and I vowed I’d never work in a lab again. So, of course, I spent the next decade working in labs. I did various things including developing blood-typing kits. That involved fusing cancerous mouse spleen cells to lymphocytes to get the antibodies we needed. Fun times, eh? Been lecturing in biology at a local college for the last 20-odd years now
I was married for over 20-years and I have two daughters. I love them both to bits
I’ve been involved in the local am-dram club, represented local teams at rugby, football and golf, received rejection letters from record companies and was due to play golf with Rick Wakeman once, but it got rained off. I did appear in ‘Record Collector’ magazine, and I flew a plane (40th birthday thing)
How do you know if a runner has ran a marathon? They’ll tell you… I’ve ran two marathons, I don’t think I won but they did give me a medal so who knows…
Places I’ve been to include India, Kenya, Egypt, parts of America, Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain, Dubai, Ireland, Wales. Still to go to China and Japan though….
(2026) I’m going to Naples / Pompeii and then Toronto (first time in Canada)
What would I like from this? To get in contact with/ meet someone who is nice, fun, down to earth, likes a chat, who likes to be out and about doing things rather than be stuck inside watching tv. I like people who have passions, whatever that ‘thing’ is, it’s great to meet someone who can regale you with their interests - not enough people are passionate about things…
My photos are from now going back maybe 5 years. Why aren’t all my photos more recent? Because I don’t do selfies. Like most men I take selfie and I look like a thumb, so a strict no selfies rule applies at all times to me. I’ve actually got very few photos of me at all so no one was more surprised than me that I found a few on my phone
