Cheerful, easy going, optimistic and positive.
Although I live in the country and enjoy gardening I do think that there may be more to life than cutting the grass.
Although retired I do like to keep myself and my brain active and I still work a day a week in the office. I also volunteer for a couple of organisations which lets me give something back.
I enjoy going for walks, not route marches, in the country, or by the sea. I lived for many years on the coast and am still drawn back to it. Fortunately I only live 20 minutes away, so on a sunny day you may find me sitting on the beach or walking next it.
I am told I look younger than my years, am young at heart, and have a good sense of humour.
I like doing lots of different things and have a very wide choice in what I enjoy. Trips to London, enjoying the buzz of the city, weekends away, theatre, films, museums, galleries or just sitting on the beach watching the sea. Food wise I will eat anything, although I will qualify that by saying no to Octopus and Snails. As happy to eat a burger as to do fine dining.
However, all the above are not as much fun on your own and if you are with the right person even the simple things are as good as any of those above. I also think it is nice just to spend easy days together and then perhaps cuddled up on the sofa with a glass of wine.
I would also like to explore more of the UK. For many years I had a property in South Devon and still try to get back there a couple of times a year, but there is so much of the country to explore. I would like to do more cruising, I did a short one in 2024 and really enjoyed it, but it would be more fun to share the experience with someone.

I am hoping to meet someone who is young at heart, and doesn't take life too seriously. They would be easy going, kind and have a good sense of humour so we could enjoy laughing together, also they would be honest and loyal. Someone who enjoys the simple things in life as well as the finer more sophisticated things.
