I’m a widow who believes life is far too interesting to be lived quietly. I divide my time between my home in Dorset, planning my next adventure, and deciding which book to read with a good cup of coffee.
Travel has been a lifelong love — especially by train. There is something wonderful about watching the world unfold beyond the window, preferably en route to a beautiful destination or a hidden coastal gem, or mountain retreat with glass of rose. I’m as happy wandering through a stately home or meandering through streets with local boutiques and design shops as I am settling into a grand hotel or lively bar for a well-earned cocktail.
I love literature and cinema, from the classics to indie, and nothing beats a lively conversation about a book or a film. I also love music and dancing, from the 70s west coast bands, Neil Young and Dylan to modern contemporary folk such as Johnny Flynn. I like going out to wine bars or to live music venues, ballet or opera or exploring a new restaurant.
