I think I am lively, active and interested in finding ways to enrich my life. I like a laugh and an interesting exchange of ideas with people I come across and I hope I am considered a good listener and a caring friend.
Keeping fit is important to me - use it or lose it, as they say!
I have retired from a career in teaching - no more slogging over work at home! But I like to keep busy so have a small, part-time job that keeps me out of mischief and is sociable and fun.
Literature, films, theatre and current affairs all help to keep me entertained, as does eating out. Dancing, live music events, spending time with friends, going on relaxing/enriching holidays - all these things make me happy. But it would be nice to have someone special to share some time with.....

My ideal match would be physically attractive to me (and I to him, of course). He would be someone who takes care of himself and lives an active life. Someone with whom I could share ideas and laughter and doesn't take himself too seriously. Someone who gets that a picture of a man holding a big (dead) fish just isn't attractive....
Trust and honesty are very important. Compassion and a sense of humour are essential in a partner, I think, as well as the ability to empathise and be thoughtful. Respecting each other's space is also important. Hope I am not expecting too much...but if you don't ask.....!
