I'm a pretty laid back and calm person. I try not to get worked up and anxious about things I can't change and focus on what matters - people and not things. I like to do all the usual stuff; holidays, walking, cinema, theatre, reading, binge watching TV dramas, drinking wine (especially when I'm cooking). I used to play guitar in a band but these days my music is limited to making terrible recordings. I'm quite practical and I'm currently putting my skills towards making improvements to my new home. This keeps me busy in the mornings and I like to take it easy in the afternoon with a puzzle or two. Overall I'm a happy chappy with great family and friends but sometimes I miss being with that special person to watch a beautiful sunset with or go for a walk in the woods, hold hands, have a natter over a cup of tea....Know what I mean?

I would like to meet someone who is independent and at ease with themselves but has a bit of space in their life to do nice things with an idiot like me so definitely tolerant of others and their failings! Also no extreme political views please - we all bring something different to the party and I think that's a good thing. Ideally someone physically active but not obsessive about health/fitness/diet. It's ok to have chips and chocolate now and then (not at the same time) and I don't need to climb any more mountains or jump out of an aeroplane thanks but hiking, swimming, a cycle ride on a traffic free path or kayaking calm waters great. Oh yes and ok with hugs ...
