Such a challenge trying to describe yourself in this way but I'll have a go.....
I would hope people would find me open, honest, warmhearted, intelligent with a lively mind. I am someone who is curious about people, and what makes them tick. I value my friendships and can be both lively and active as well as increasingly appreciating peaceful, quiet times. I've got a great sense of humour and value a good laugh but I also enjoy in-depth conversation. I appreciate beautiful environments both internal and external. I enjoy cooking, eating well and have to pay attention to my health. Would probably be most compatible with those who also enjoy cooking and eating healthily. I love radio 4 and listen to it quite a lot, there's always something interesting. Apart from this sometimes radio 3 and classic FM, never any other station. Love classical music especially chamber music and for many years have sung in choirs. I enjoy lots of other music too, mostly in keeping with my age and what I was keen on in my youth/20/40s. I confess I haven't moved on a lot since then!
I love France and all things French and I've been learning the language for the last four years. This brings me a lot of pleasure and friendships. I would love to spend more time in the south-west of France, in particular, though obviously I appreciate beautiful areas of England as well.
I love nature and being in it along with plants, gardens and being in them. I'm a great believer in making the most of the time that is left and prioritising doing the things that give you enjoyment, pleasure and satisfaction. However realistic as well and aware that the above doesn't always happen as you would like it to!
I value emotional intelligence and hope I am someone who is willing to explore difficulties as they arise even though this isn't always easy. Having said that sharing the simple things in life with another person is equally well worth aspiring to !

Someone who is curious, thoughtful, self-aware and open. Someone who is interested in people and who shares some of my passions, be it French and France, nature, friendships, cooking, similar values, sense of humour and the desire to make the most of life as we find it. Mutual attraction always helps! living within a reasonable distance of one another is generally preferable though not necessarily a complete dealbreaker, and in principal I would consider relocating. Someone who enjoys their own activities, some shared, as well as quiet, peaceful times, someone who enjoys getting close to someone else.
