No reason at all probably, but since you are here it might be worth reading on to see what YOU think.
First I should say I'm only looking to contact people within about 50 miles of Taunton, Somerset, but thanks for looking.
I am retired and have a grown up son who lives abroad quite a lot - mainly in S Africa, and I also stay in touch with my late partner's children.
My interests include music - (listening and singing and going to concerts), gardening (doing as needs must), DIY (ditto), walking (not enough now that I have no-one to share it with), and the countryside. I am concerned about environmental issues.
I'm not a sports addict although I do watch some cricket and only gave up playing a few years ago when I broke my Achilles tendon - such a rough sport! I have also recently taken up croquet, which I seem reasonably good at.
I occasionally watch rugby union (on TV) when England men or ladies are playing, and the Tour de France - partly for the scenery!
I keep busy by being the treasurer or secretary of several organisations.
I have done plenty of travelling over the years, but that's not to say I'm averse to doing more if the opportunity arises. However I also enjoy my own home and garden and the UK countryside in general.

Attraction is pretty undefinable, and a mystery it seems, but I feel that the right chemistry is important in a potential friend or partner, and of course some attributes like honesty, reliability and general happiness with life.
