About him
I am a quiet, sensitive, serious, shy person. Looking to connect with the right personality with some shared interests. My main interests are bookworming, culture, history, languages, literature, music (I like bluegrass, blues, classical, folk, rock and jazz), concerts, film, galleries, gardens, museums, opera, theatre.
I like to cook, play board games (draughts, chess etc), play cards ( bridge - Intermediate level), collect (books, model cars, stamps etc.), read (a lot), walk and travel.
I spend a good part of the year in my alternative home in Central Europe by the Danube pursuing my life’s other passions - fine cuisine and wines, classical music and thermal spas.
I speak Dutch, French and modest German and improving Hungarian, so any bilingual or multilingual speakers would be a bonus. Last year I learnt Italian and now would really like to (re-) visit Italy especially the Veneto and Trieste regions.
I have explored a lot of alternative therapies, read a lot of philosophy from the Pre-Socratics to the post-modernists in the last five years and would like to meet someone who also (over) thinks but no right wing/ populist thinkers please.

Sharing a range of cultural activities - like art galleries, concerts, gardens, museums, opera, film, theatre, food, travel, spas and hobbies, yours and mine and maybe trying some new ones? Mutually, a good sense of humour helps. I really don’t like tattoos, body piercings, or too much make up but a real deal breaker would be smoking.
