About her
An active, fairly practical & independent woman with a GOSH, I am warm, a little romantic, sometimes impulsive & idealistic. A good listener (trained as a counsellor post grad.), I was a mature university student going on to teach at a London F E college. Later I hosted language school students & then ran a B & B. Divorced when young & widowed 18 months ago, I am currently my late partner's executor, hopefully coming to the end of this soon. I workout weekly at the gym, love Pickleball & just started Pilates. I wear specs. as I'm blind as a bat; don't drive but walk everywhere - on average, I guess, around 4 miles a day. At 5'2" & 8st 6lbs, I am quite small. I love walking on the Downs, live in a country cottage near the sea & have a large, unmanicured, wildlife garden with a veg.plot. I'm interested in buildings, the environment, volunteering & contributing to my community. I like live gigs & concerts, going to country pubs, being by the sea, spending time with friends, playing Scrabble & having good conversations. I am a volunteer at a local cancer support center,hoping to start an Oral History project there & at a photographic museum. Music likes: The Blues, Reggae, some Jazz & Soul, plus Classical & Folk; BBC Radio 6 Music. Left of centre, I support the Greens. Outlook on life: Being open, kind, honest & as true as possible.

Good communication and chemistry are crucial as is developing trust and pleasure in each other's company. Anything else is a bonus. I don't want to live with anyone yet - need my own space, but am looking for a long term partner who would also be my best friend. He would be reasonably fit & healthy too!
