I'm intelligent, very active, caring, tactile, quirky, calm, grounded, curious, affectionate, sensitive, unconventional in some ways, and (sometimes) funny.
I'm looking to live life to the full, make the most of each day, and to create new memories with a loving and caring partner. Hoping for a companion to share who knows what, and go who knows where.
Laughter, friendship, cuddles, and intelligent conversation always welcome! Happy to lead the way, and equally happy to be led in unexpected directions. It depends... Balance! Apparently I'm 51% extrovert and 49% introvert.. ?!
I'm interested in people, especially where we have a good overlap of personality, interests, and beliefs (I never know whether to put "agnostic" or "spiritual but not religious" - I'm somewhere in between..).
I enjoy holidays. Favourite places are too many to list but would include Cornwall, Shetland, Wales, Ireland, Crete, Portugal... etc etc. Walking fine, wildlife fine, culture and history fine, sun fine (clothes optional beaches fine - but may seek shade - used to have red hair!), not impressed by snow, and (distressingly - you could teach me!) never learned to swim so am a bit wary of small boats. Went on a cruise once - surprisingly enjoyable.
I have two adult children, no grandchildren yet, no pets, no siblings, own house and garden. I'm originally from the Wirral (most of my ancestors were Welsh, but I also have an Irish passport 😀), worked in Exeter and Bristol for many years, and moved to Chepstow 30 years ago. May want to move closer to the sea in future.
I retired from paid work a few years ago and have had a very wide variety of other roles - some of them interesting, a few are things I may want to carry on doing - but I'm looking for a partner in the next phase of my life.
