About him
I am laid back, respectful and adventurous. I am looking to build trust whilst having some fun along the way. In other words it’s time to get on with it!
I’m obsessively honest, better to trip over any incompatibilities earlier rather than later. I’m also very open, honesty is not telling lies, openness is not omitting what’s relevant. I’m very positive yet laid back which are maybe an unusual mix? Self deprecating charm I hope.
I think my friends would describe me as easy going, reliable, quietly confident and adventurous.
I love the outdoors and do a fair bit of cycling, hiking, swimming, some running and short triathlon.
I also enjoy skiing and usually do two or three weeks a year as a ski rep with a company that organises school ski trips - the kids and the teachers keep me on my toes!
I want to travel, meet interesting and unusual people and discover new places. Last year I went to SE Asia for 11 weeks alone. It was great, especially a week living with elephants, but I don’t really want to travel alone again. I love the variety of European countries, beaches, cities and mountains.
I am location flexible, from the SE originally, 2 years in Edinburgh, now Fife.
I understand the man usually makes the first move but I’m also open to it being the other way round.
About his ideal match
I don’t have preset ideas. Positive, healthy, relaxed, likes to travel. It doesn’t matter too much where you live - to the moon and all that. Still believes in love and is looking for a special spark. Indifference is a turn off for me.
Someone who is active would help things work but also if we had different interests, that could work too.
