Shakespeare told us "All the world's a stage", but I'm afraid I don't entirely agree. I know each of us has in our own world a secret, closeted "backstage" space where we're at our most vulnerable ànd honest and authentic. I'd like to meet someone i'm comfortable inviting into my backstage - where the spotlight can be dimmed to a warmer and less glaring flame and we tumbling clowns can engage in unscripted conversation, free of costume, mask and grease paint, and just free-form in trust. I've trod the boards alone too long to need a co-star constantly, but a loyal off-stage companion (equally apt to perform alone and tolerant of pretence) would be... just lovely.
