Hello. I'm a quiet-ish, happy, somewhat whimsical (but also perfectly capable of being serious and logical when necessary) person who would love to meet others for social activities such as coffee, conversation, dining out, cinema, walking & exploring
I was "Made in Scotland" and born in Australia, which has resulted in a tendency to wander the planet. I did have vague travel plans until the "P-word" put a stop to all that in early 2020.
The ideal life situation for me would be the chance to have a base in Australia for the cooler part of the year and and a base somewhere in UK/Europe for the remainder of the year. Yes, I'm one of those strange people who follow the clouds, not the sun. Having said that, I've been living in England for over 5 years now and while I really like the climate here, a few rays of Spring sunshine wouldn't go astray.
I'm passionately involved in a humanitarian project, which I work on at home, as often as I can, but with the flexibility to shut down my computer and take off on an adventure anytime the mood strikes me.
I don't have a car, much preferring to relax on a train while travelling to meet you! I love London, and haven't seen enough of it.. yet. Who wants to meet me at St Pancras? :-) Or another mutually convenient location? I also really enjoy hopping on buses and going.. anywhere and everywhere.. towns, cities, exploring lanes and alleyways, markets, and rounding out the day with a pub lunch/dinner and nice company.

An "ideal match" is not something I really think about - just nice, funny, quiet-ish, gentle, happy people. I think I've said it all above and below.
To those of you who state that they prefer their ideal match to be younger than themselves - ahh well, you did sound nice too, dammit. Are you sure you haven't just forgotten to update your preferences? No? Oh well, no worries, it was nice reading your profile :-)
