In an ideal world I would meet someone in 'real life' as I have an active and sociable life and still enjoying the stimulation (and challenge!) of part-time work - but hope this approach might come good!
I have been widowed for several years and try to approach life as one open to possibilities. I have tried a few different things over these past few years including yoga and tentative forays into art classes. Rediscovered my appetite for music, favouring and according to the Spotify algorithm, to be a lot of Indie folk and Americana.Enjoy seeing live bands, smaller venues please. Listening to podcasts when driving - as a Guardian reader unsurprisingly liberal/left-wing political ones but also interested in spirituality/faith and psychology as well as usual Radio 4 selections. Recently re-joined a gym (mainly for swimming pool)which joins yoga and occasional cycle ride as part of my exercise routine. But my favourite form of exercise is walking and lots of options in the Midlands. And discovered the joys of interrailing again last summer...so much nicer to travel by train in Europe!
Somewhat challenged by any tick box description of faith/belief - coming from the Christian tradition but finding a more open spirituality a better fit especially Buddhist meditation. And finding someone, at least sympathetic to spirituality is important.
I am an extrovert, energised by being with people, always want to talk through ideas and experiences! Have a good circle of friends, and I am good at friendship - still meet up and go away with school and university friends regularly as well as being part of a large functional family network too. What I miss is male companionship - and someone to bear witness to my days...

Who knows?! I spent 25 years with someone who was very different to me and did not tick some of the boxes I would have described as really important so not sure how the algorithms work... What I do know is integrity, intelligence (emotional and cognitive) and kindness are crucial. However I am also hoping that with maturity comes a more relaxed and flexible approach to dating - maybe even some wisdom.
