About him
aesthetically, an average,"normal" bloke but beyond any prerequisite "tick box" called looks, an honest, straightforward one with old fashioned values, perceivably being taken as being a tad formal until I get to know people well. Critique from both friends and former works colleagues (I'm now retired) would suggest I'm articulate, reasonably intelligent, have a good sense of humour and am above "average" in the decorum and manners department. I'm an easy going, unobtrusively confident, secure (I'd like to think both emotionally & financially !!) bloke with a positive outlook, excellent sense of humour. DON'T do mind games, don't have materialistic traits, don't do moods and am decidedly and definitely NOT a "player" !!." I'm averse to both shouting and arguing, I would if there are differences, preferably discuss and talk through a problem and to try sort things out "rationally" in a mature manner, but equally to say that I'm not a "pushover" of appeasement either. Despite the aforementioned "seriousness", a fairly "laid back" but by no means lethargic bloke who takes life as it comes, loves it, is established though NOT entrenched in it and has a youthful (known on occasion to act my "shoe size" age rather than my "chronological" one !!) but not puerile outlook on it ! In summary, an "emotionally engaged", motivated, stable, unpretentious bloke who deals with life as it comes along and has absolutely no issues or hang-ups about his place in it, his age or bounteous, "Botox free" looks !!! - Interests - tribute bands, (Robin-2, Bilston) meaning music genre of the 60's, to the mid 80's, reading, history of literature, the occasional meal out - be it either pub or select, my classic M.G.B. car club which I belong to, this involving occasional weekend runs in the summer with club members and partners to car shows, stately homes, botonical gardens. As I also like my peace and queit - have recently bought a caravan in Worcestershire this now enables me to ocassionally escape the "rat race" of "urban west midlands"

looking for someone with whom to share the metaphorical roller coaster highs, lows - laughter and tears of everyday life - a caring, affectionate, open minded, sensitive but "level headed" conversationalist who enjoys a good laugh along with a pillow fight !! someone comfortable in both jeans & T shirt or the evening dress., (sartorially, I can equally conform when the occasion requires !!) someone for me to be there solely for, conversely her for me and who even at this stage in life is not averse to be seen publicly walking out hand in hand, someone who intrinsically has the same standards and values but in the sense of personality perhaps not a "carbon copy"(heaven forbid - only joking !!) of myself, sharing interests but at the same time having her having her own. Whilst mindful I'm looking for an awful lot in someone, I don't seek or indeed expect "perfection" as I'm certainly not that and I don't and won't "fake" at being it either ! that said I do confidently know that I can EQUALLY reciprocate the self same virtuous values sought...........I'm NOT on here for a laugh, to waste anyone's precious time (either yours or mine !!), out of desperation to be in a relationship, looking to upgrade my F/B relationship status nor for someone to have a one night stand with, however having set my standards high, what I AM looking for though is someone after meeting, finding a "chemistry" being there, dating and getting to know over a period of time, when together appreciating each others values and company as being an enhancement and enrichment of both OUR respective lives, indeed someone who would would want me to be difference to her (and her family should she have any) world as much as I'd want her to be in mine !! thereby evolving two lives into one and that ultimately leading down the road of a PERMANENT relationship as I believe we are happiest in life when we share exclusively with someone we love - so I guess like most, simply wanting to be with that one very special person of the opposite sex.
