Despite being reminded on several occasions recently that I may not be as indestructible as I previously thought, I remain committed to living a life less ordinary and that I won't go quietly!
I am a single parent. My 10 year old son is an amazing addition to my life and currently occupies much of my energy and time.
I have loved making my own way across the water and it's probably true to say the sea has been my mistress for a long time. However I do not enjoy her boisterousness these days so I will pick my weather carefully.
I have always preferred to travel under my own steam where possible so will drive or take a train through Europe rather than fly. I do however enjoy the usual creature comforts when doing so. Friends will describe me as impetuous, adventurous. and young at heart. What I do value is my integrity, honesty, dependability, and capability in extreme situations. I equally enjoy a night in watching a good drama or film as much as taking another boat over another horizon. I still have plenty of places I want to see and others I want to see again.
Health-wise I've been through some serious stuff over the last few years and need to get back into shape as much as is possible.
