About her
I'm a retired lecturer, passionate about the Arts, generally, and literature, film and theatre in particular. Covid has made this quite difficult. I'm quite a fan of detective fiction and love cryptic crosswords. I'm also passionate about my three year old miniature labradoodle, Timmy, so love walks and outings to various hostelries and beaches . I've recently moved from a canal boat to a house, so I'm looking to find some friends, locally, and maybe one in particular.

Lucy is a delightful, intelligent little bombshell!
She's been a wonderful and affective English and Drama teacher and lecturer in F.E. and H.E. all her life and is universally loved. She loves boats of all kinds, gaining her day skipper certificate some years ago and crewing for boats in Liverpool and abroad. She has only just become a land-dweller again, having owned a broad beam canal boat for a few years.
Being a word-smith, she loves reading (and writes well too)- particularly detective fiction in which she has specialised and has written dozens of learned articles,; she can do the Guardian crossword in a flash and has a brilliant, gentle labradoodle called Tim ( after the Famous 5). Both enjoy walking and her pace is pretty quick! Lucy is home-loving and is tidy and likes quirky objects. She likes travel, when she can and has been to China, and Trinidad. She enjoys music, theatre, dance and the Arts generally, in addition to lovely food and wine- particularly seafood. She appreciates intelligence, but favours kindness, bravery and humility.
