Open, honest, caring, love life and meeting new people and venturing to new places. Maybe slightly crazy and a bit disordered at times, but still know who I am! ( Up to now! A combination of conventional and unconventional in my life-style and views and not afraid to speak up and can get a little carried away but love a healthy non-agressive debate. I used to be a professional singer so music in my life is essential and I sing around the house to the hits from yesteryear on my radio! I used to sing a lot of American Songbook stuff as well as hits of the day and also love jazz. I love musicals too but will keep my fingers crossed on that one! I keep myself physically fit through a daily 10 minute aerobic workout (nothing heavy), walking, (but not hiking), swimming, gym and love the outdoors and nature (but not when it's raining and freezing cold). Not a winter person, love the summer and the sun and prefer warmer temperatures. My sense of humour? I adore Victoria Wood - 'Dinner Ladies'? - love it!
Still love the comic greats of the 70's - Morcambe & Wise, Tommy Cooper, Ken Dodd, etc. I abhor racism and homophobia and cruelty to animals and am left leaning and intensely dislike our present government. Just so we are clear on this. I do watch some television in the evenings but only because I live alone and there's no-one else to talk to except my cat! I have a positive outlook on life, mainly, despite disappointments and set-backs and firmly believe that life is definitely far too short!

Obviously it is essential that my ideal potential partner has a similar outlook to myself, with similar views and is an animal lover. A love of music (maybe a current or former musician) is very important but not necessarily a musician. I don't have a specific "type" physically, but not too fond of heavy beards! Prefer someone to be taller than me if possible. Honesty and a good sense of humour, sensitive and understanding. Good standard of education. Someone who keeps himself fit and healthy - but not obsessively so. I love to eat out when I get the chance - so dining out would be another activity I'd like to share from time to time. I am a great believer in talking things through and it is very important we communicate.
