I've got a lot to give for the right person; I am clever and interesting, fun, warm, passionate and loving.
I have been told I'm a child at heart (specifically a 15-year-old boy) and it's true that I love heavy rock music, online gaming and nerf-gun wars. But I am also a grown-up with interests in traveling, films, reading, writing, amateur dramatics, gardening, cooking and socialising with friends - although if I'm completely honest, most of my friends are mad-as-badgers and at social events we land up with somewhat tipsy silliness and head-banging to the aforementioned rock music, rather than having intellectual discussions about world affairs!
Like so many people, 2020 was a year of change for me; in addition to Covid, my job ended. I now have the chance to live a very different life and I am exploring what that might look like. High on the agenda is buying a motorhome and traveling on-and-off for a few months - just as soon as that is possible! (I currently live with my adult daughter although we will be moving separately as restrictions allow.)
For the last few years I have been struggling with a duff knee and so my mobility is currently compromised. This has made my weight-problem worse, but I am now on top of that and being healthier and losing weight (although I am not a bore about dieting, I promise). Part of my interest in changing my life-style is to be done with the treadmill of stress, eating to try and stay energized, more stress, drinking to relax, ever more stress... I am doing a course to learn to meditate and give my mind and body a chance - instead of just focusing on the next deadline or target!
I spent my entire career in the charity sector and still do a bit of consultancy to keep my hand in - I am also exploring a couple of business ventures. For the last fifteen or so years I was a senior manager or CEO, which I found very fulfilling, but now it's time to do things that I actually enjoy - are you going to be one of them?

It doesn't matter if you're working or not, I have flexibility. It would be good if you had some similar interests, in particular board games and music, traveling and hosting guests. (Good at DIY would be an advantage - tell you why when we talk).
However, part of the point of meeting people is to appreciate new things through their eyes, so, I am pretty chill about what interests you have. (I wouldn't be joining in if you're a sports-freak or into reality TV or like long stomps across mountains, but, hey, I can always curl up and read a book and have a warm drink waiting when you get back.)
