About her
I am curious, creative, reasonably clever and certainly kind. I lost my partner in 2020 and I miss the sharing of ideas, passionate discussions and romance and travel - especially to France and Switzerland. I love the sea and the sun and good food and nice wines. I’m a writer and academic who loves beautiful minds but not mind games - background in literature, psychoanalysis and philosophy. Would love to chat to like minded / good hearted souls in equal measures; someone interesting and open.
I love reading and discussing ideas. I have a daughter who is 22 who is the world to me ... I paint and endeavour to improve my cookery skills with new challenging recipes and the odd gadget. The photos are all very recent.
I have a bike that I like riding and enjoy walking for an hour or two in the country but am no longer sporty. I am told I’m fun, vivacious and lively and am not your ‘typical intellectual’ - if such a thing exists (which I doubt). I don’t like roughing it these days, preferring a little luxury or home comforts, so no camping trips for me I’m afraid.
I watch a little tv, love University Challenge masterchef, a good french film or tv series and Scandi noir. I am a fan of Camus. Music and singing I love ... plays, novels, poetry, philosophy ... where to begin... don’t get me started on theatre.. all subjects for a discussion!
