About her
I was born in Amsterdam but have lived in England for 28 years. For most of my life, I've lived abroad, mainly in South East Asia and Africa, and have experienced different cultures, religions, and traditions. It has enriched my life, and I have precious memories of those years.
I regard England as my home, but I will try to visit the remaining family I have in the Netherlands when I can.
I have an artistic background, I make ceramics, and I have access to a studio. I love Art, Interior Design, and Architecture. I love reading, cooking, watching a good movie, visiting museums, and visiting art galleries. One of my pleasures is going for coffee or lunch with friends and having a good old natter and laugh. Simple things in life are best, and everything in moderation, too.
I dislike dishonesty, unfairness, and rudeness. I am always straight to the point and don't suffer fools.
I practice Qi Gong and Pilates, and walk my dog. Being out in nature and clearing my head is important to me, and I do have a special place that is very spiritual to me. I love snow and blue skies, and one of the things on my to-do list is going on a trip to Scandinavia, Scotland, and Ireland. Then there is France, it's one of my favorite places to go to, love the food/wine and flea markets - and food markets - to saunter in, maybe finding an interesting object to take home and give it a place.
My outlook on life is simple: “live in the here and now.”
Be true to yourself, live life to the best of your ability, and be the best version of yourself.
I still feel very young at heart and love to live life to the full, so traveling is definitely something I want to do, preferably with someone who likes traveling too.
Describing myself here is a bit daunting, but in the end, it boils down to someone taking the first step and getting to know me.

I don’t have preconceived ideas; however, it would be great to meet someone who likes me for who I am, as I would like him for who he is. A caring, tactile man to talk with, but also to sit in silence and enjoy each other's company. People talk about chemistry, but that's not the whole picture. Attraction and compatibility are also important. Being friends first and getting to know each other should be enjoyable, exciting, and fun! Going out for dinner and having coffee on a terrace, watching the world go by, is one of the things I'd love to do with someone.
