About her
Where to start? It is hard to describe oneself objectively and if you asked one of my friends they would say "oh, Rachel is lovely!" but lovely means different things to different people.
I am easy going and quite laid back, but dislike bad time keeping unless it's for a good reason. I am a warm, caring and loyal person with an open mind.
In my youth I was lucky enough to spend a long time backpacking around Australasia, then a small amount of America. I would like to explore more of the world especially our beautiful island. I like learning about the natural world and different cultures and it would be lovely to experience that with someone.
I like being outdoors, whether it be pottering in my garden or walking in the countryside. My favourite places to walk are along the coast and beaches. I was brought up by the sea and there is something very therapeutic about being on the beach and the sound of the sea. I enjoy gardening, though I’m learning as I go along. I have an established garden which I try to keep alive!!
I am not a sporty person though I used to play hockey, tennis and badminton, I still have my rackets just in case. I do watch certain sports on TV especially Rugby Union, the Six Nations is a must.
Spare time includes walks, the local National Trusts and meeting friends. I love the theatre and cinema but I am happy to snuggle up on the sofa and watch a good film that way. I love eating out but enjoy cooking for my friends too. I belong to a couple of choirs and enjoy singing songs of different genres. Music is nearly always playing at home.
I would like to find that one special person with whom I can live a good life, and laugh with. To care for them and equally feel cared for in return.

She is an unbelievably kind and funny person who is always a pleasure to spend time with. Her ability to see the funny side of any situation has kept me calm and collected in many situations and equally howling with laughter in others. She enjoys such a wide range of activities and is so easy-going that any day spent with her is a day well spent. We've spent lots of time walking together, dining together, reading together and most of all, simply enjoying the calm that can only be achieved with such a close and comforting friend. This, alongside her time spent travelling, also makes her a fantastic holiday and travel companion.
