About her
My friends describe me as passionate and funny. I’m empathetic, but have learned to say no. I am self reliant with an ounce of vulnerability. Learned to be on my own, but now seeking male company. I love laughing and joking. A GSOH is up there.
Family is really important and I have close treasured friends, more than a few from childhood.
I love diverse views and am non judgmental. I am a bit of a current affairs addict and am interested in the political landscape.
Music is in my soul - loads 'a' genres - I play fiddle in a band doing gigs and festivals and play 1st violin in an orchestra. It’s quite a big part of my life now. I also tutor.
I love walking, when I can escape the flatlands of the sunny metropolis. I keep quite fit and eat healthily.
Languages continue to fascinate me - I speak French, German - a smattering of other languages - a languages teacher for over 20 years.
I love culture, art, period style, old objects - have a few collections. I dabbled in antique dealing and ran an art gallery. I recently sold my arty business. I watch an occasional series, and have some bad TV guilty pleasures. I have an intimate relationship with my radio: LBC, Radio 2, 4 and 5 and read easily digestible fiction, which always ends well!
I'm IT savvy and like my iPhone - so there! I am pretty well versed in social media for an oldie - was a big part of my business.
During lockdown I spent many days on the garden. I have continued growing a few things and creating my own haven. At that time I also joined testing and mass vaccination teams - surreal - high viz, man boots, , masks, gloves… I then got myself a job in social research . Eye opener. Now back in schools doings bits here and there.
My only aim now is to move forward. I've relinquished the A to B approach as things have a habit of heading for Z.

Friendship, mutual respect .. a little craziness. I like individuality, emotional intelligence and looking great in a flowery shirt? haha. Plain shirts also fine.
Down to earth, sense of humour - non negotiable.
Someone I can talk to about bonkers nonsense, boring trivia, but also some deep or intellectual stuff.
Not much for lack of empathy, obsessive natures - fundamentalist views. Public virtue signalling? Mmmmmm. Hard right wing views- I'm not a fan - understatement.
With the right person I would like face to face contact as well as calls and messaging depending on circumstances. I understand that you may have had things happen, and you may be wary or not sure. Most of us are in that position.
Someone who likes culture and takes an interest in the world like myself, but by the same token lets me off for my inexplicable love of some rubbish TV. .. oh and is brill at DIY?! joking!
Would love a companion who likes to walk, visit places of historic and cultural interest, who likes quirky eating places perhaps, loves music and who actually wants to chat openly and wants to know me and accept me with warts an' all. Then who knows....
