About me. My least favourite subject.
Well here goes. My fiends tell me I am a kind, thoughtful, practical person with a dry sense of humour but not sarcastic.
Widowed since 2008 after a very happy marriage, I have gradually got used to doing a lot of things on my own. I am retired from full time work and now have time for my wide range of interests and hobbies that keep me busy (so hopefully conversations will not be boring).
I'm not a natural social animal and it takes me a while to warm to people so I have a very small circle of very close friends rather than a lot of acquaintances. I am interested in people and am a good listener rather than a chatterbox.
People have remarked that I look younger than my age and ask if I dye my hair, well not so far but there are a few grey hairs appearing.
I keep fit by trying to get the garden in some sort of order (this was never my domain), I like to go on country walks with my Labrador dog and sometimes stop off for the occasional pub lunch.
It would be nice to have a companion (besides the dog) to share some adventures and outings with. I like to travel and have family abroad and visit them whenever I can.

My ideal match, wow that's tricky, I don't feel I have an ideal that I am looking for, I feel no one is perfect, Obviously someone that
is very rich and beautiful, no but seriously, someone that has some similar interests we can share and a sense of humour. Someone that could put up with me and be a good friend.
