About her
If you enjoy sharing travel stories, I’ve lived in four countries, born and partially raised in Japan (although I'm American). In my imagination I live part of the year just outside Paris, a city I thought I’d never leave after 25 years but, a brief marriage, Brexit… one’s plans evolve.
My best friends like to talk about photography, computers, law and local politics, entrepreneurship, books and publishing, languages… dogs… food! They’d say that I bring a spark to a group or team.
I read widely but not deeply, mostly periodicals both left- and right-of-centre.
I like spending a day in new places doing a speedy reconnoiter of architecture, food, and shops, maybe returning another time for a deeper visit. Travel is such a chore these days though. Coming home to my house, sofa, dog, ‘YouTube fireplace’ and soothing jazz are a real pleasure.
