About him
My friends have never judged me; nor I them. I think they regard me as quite knowledgeable, educated and interesting to talk to.
Some would say I'm intellectual. Family would say I'm kind, tolerant and forgiving. I'm fairly out-going.
Since the age of 17, I have supported the Green Agenda, before it became fashionable. That was a prime driver to become a professional mechanical engineer and try to "save the planet".
When I lived in Bristol, with it's vibrant music scene, I played live on the keyboard/piano. Also, I could attend Colston Hall to listen to National Symphony Orchestras perform great classical music.
I started writing music just over 20 years ago. But I've a long way to go. My compositions are inspired by the late Romantic composers such as Richard Strauss, Edward Elgar. But I like Ravel, Debussy and Shostakovich. Jazz is the only music which I can multi-task while listening.
I like to coarse and fly-fish in the summer months.
I have been politically very active in the past, but not these days.
I have regularly exercised throughout my life. I'm best at swimming.
I attend Church regularly. My Christian faith is deepening with age.
I'm not afraid of death, but I feel I might be running out of time.

Ideally, my partner would share the same qualities as my close friends. She would be my musical companion and "soundboard". She would be supportive and appreciative of myself, but speak her mind when required.
Ideally, she would be a classically trained musician who plays or teaches music for a living. We would share our love of music together. She would make sure I'm not idle with my spare time !
We could travel a bit and broaden our horizons. There would be our families and friends to keep us occupied. Ideally, we would do sport together. And we could help others.
