Sociable and energetic but relish the quiet times too, I appreciate my friends and family and derive pleasure from both countryside, towns and cities. I am warm and friendly, stylish, fit, confident on the outside and enjoy meeting new people.
Architecture, art and culture have always been in my life.
Retired from a demanding job but still busy with cultural projects. Music, opera, museums, historic places and galleries give me pleasure as does reading and walking. I love visiting gardens in the UK and abroad; also pottering in my own small garden.
Italy is a favourite European destination, I lived in Paris for 3 years in an old seamstresses’s studio in the same road as the President.
Eating well in nice surroundings is always enjoyable.
I belong to a walking group, take groups on tours of a historic house near me and volunteer at an arts centre.

Firstly you should ideally be within fairly easy reach!
Probably important that we find each other attractive, not just physically but in personality too. Hopefully we’ll enjoy similar activities, maybe museums and galleries and culture.
For me a great evening might be opera or classical concert (but I like modern classical too) and maybe a glass of wine to enhance the evening. A bit of passion and ambition would be nice and I’m keen to hear about your ideas for the future. Hope you can tolerate dogs!
