This is an interesting exercise! How best to give a fair appraisal?
Dipping my toe in the water to test the temperature. I am looking to increase my circle of female friends (see below) which may lead to something more without needing to.
I am sociable, with an enquiring and accepting mind: someone who also enjoys his own space reading a book and walking. I miss my late wife (2023) but am keen to have a positive perspective, not dwelling on what I have lost but moving forward, as she would want me to.
I play tennis several times a week (doubles!) and enjoy sport in general. I love the countryside, hills, wildlife (especially birds), sport, family, humour, quizzes, reading, music chatting over coffee: a little bit of a many things. I enjoy travelling to low key destinations at home and abroad with or without friends .
My Christian faith is quietly important.
I have two married sons and 6 grandchildren, aged between 15 and 5.

A confident, independent, kind, empathetic and sensitive person, with a positive but considered outlook on life but who likes a chuckle and can see the ridiculous and charm in the ordinary: relatively active, enjoying hills (but not necessarily needing to get to the top any longer!) and nature, someone who is relaxed but with own ideas and activities. Someone who is comfortable with conversation or quiet, a bacon sandwich or fine dining, a cup of tea or a nice rioja.
