About him
I'm intelligent, honest, friendly (I've been told I'm very easy to converse with, one-to-one), interesting, tolerant, extremely easy going (unless I really feel that I'm being put into a situation which will make me feel too uncomfortable), loyal, committed, reliable, trustworthy, with GSH, who can also be quite shy at times. In a group, I tend to be quiet. I like music, reading, nice food & drink, eating out, visiting places, cinema, DVDs & watching some sport - snooker, tennis, golf, test cricket etc. I don't like clubs/partying etc. I live alone in a house which I own.
I'm a man who'd never deliberately hurt somebody & I listen carefully to understand a woman's needs & wants. If men were pieces of chocolate ready for a woman to select, I'd be one with a soft centre.
I'd always want to be open & to discuss things fully with a woman, in a shared partnership. But I’m a naturally deferential man & she'd generally have the final say. I’m also not the most confident person and do suffer from some social anxiety. I can’t help how I am & it’s never going to radically change. I won't apologise for it, nor for being a man seeking a more dominant female partner. Though I’m not submissive & don’t want to be bullied or taken advantage of (I would push back if I really wasn’t happy with something), I’m happy to let a woman take control with strength & care. The right woman for me won’t apologise for being how she naturally is either & will see my honest deference as an appealing part of my personality to her.
I've a real aversion to cats & dogs. Therefore, unfortunately somebody with any of those as pets, isn't going to be suitable. But I'm a fairly emotionally strong, well-balanced, rational person. Although I'll certainly listen to my heart, I'm more naturally 'ruled' by my head. I'm very reserved emotionally, an introvert & quite a deep thinker. As for my general outlook on life, I mainly lean towards moderate/pragmatism.

A preferably quite socially liberal woman, but perhaps culturally more old-fashioned. Committed. Sharing some of my interests & might want to introduce me to some of hers. Physically, perhaps a tall woman.
In terms of the dynamics of a relationship, I’d like it to be the kind which is probably considered old-fashioned. A shared partnership, both of us working together, but there’s a clear boss, who generally takes the lead. I’m sure for some people, more ambiguity or 50/50 genuinely works, but for me it won’t. I’m best suited to a woman who, when necessary, likes to take control & tell a man how it is. I’m not saying she’d walk all over or take advantage of me, but I’m naturally most comfortable being led & advised. Only the most idealistic, equal partnership zealot could possibly claim that a relationship where one partner is slightly more dominant (maybe a roughly 55/45 split) isn’t still a perfectly valid, viable partnership, or must be coercive & that both partners can’t possibly be happy with such an arrangement. We’ll both want to get on with it & although there’ll certainly be discussions, she'll make the final decision & any debating won’t likely take too long. Qualities I find most attractive in a woman are assertiveness, decisiveness & confidence, as well as being caring, warm & affectionate. Maybe she'd be more of a realist than an idealist.
Being rather shy & suffering from social anxiety, I need a woman who'll make me feel at ease & take more responsibility in matters such as communication. Sorry, but I am how I am & not likely to radically change much more now.
There's a lot of interesting depth within me for a suitable woman to explore, & I'm sure she'd find that in my own quiet & very loyal way, there's much that could make her happy. That's what I'd give to her from me. I'll do my bit & put as much commitment into the relationship as her.
Ideally somebody living in or around the Bristol area - though if someone was further away & we felt really right for each other, then I'd consider that.
