About her
I've worked in education for most of my life, my job has taken me to many interesting places around the world and I’ve lived in a few different countries. I'm now working less, and have time to explore new places and think about what the next chapter might have in store. I'm a family orientated person and asked my eight year old grandson what he'd tell a stranger about me. He said, 'she can cry happy tears, she's good at keeping herself looking young, she's good at looking after children, she's kind and she's funny.' I'm quite pleased with those comments! I’m an independent person who would rather go out alone than not go out at all, but having someone special to share things with would be nice. I love visiting galleries, exploring new cities and seeing parts of the world off the tourist track. I enjoy gardening and would love to lead a more sustainable life where I grow my own produce, but my current small east facing patch isn’t ideal and so 2025 might be a year where I move and make that dream come come true, although I don't want to move too far away from Edinburgh - my beautiful adopted city of the past 12 years.

I enjoy walks in the country, strolling on the beach and finding new coffee shops to watch the world go by. It would be nice to meet someone to share these simple pleasures with.
