About him
Although I am retired I try to remain busy. The letter “F” best sums me up…….….that is for “F” for family, friendship, faith, football, fun although I don’t always prioritise them in the right order.
I am a active church member and I am also busy supporting local and national charities but volunteering doesn’t start with “F” !
I enjoy coastal walking in the beautiful UK and visiting places like The Lake District & Peak District. I follow sport in the Daily Telegraph but am particularly keen on football and watching athletics both on TV and live.
Although I am not aligned with any political party I do enjoy following the political landscape through my daily newspaper.
Just spending quiet times enjoying a film together or having friends round for dinner, having good conversation or playing board games can all be a lot of fun.
I have three adult children and two wonderful grandsons who bring me a great deal of pleasure.
I believe, among other things, that I am honest, reliable, trustworthy and faithful and I am confident others see these qualities in me.

Meeting someone with similar interests, beliefs and activities, such as I have outlined above, would be advantageous but not essential. In particular I would value honesty and faithfulness above all other qualities.
Clearly there are “red lines” for most people but meeting someone with different outlooks can be interesting and stimulating and if it is right person exciting to work together to create that special, and hopefully, lasting relationship .
Ultimately though any theory has to be tested and it’s only after meeting someone in person and experiencing their company can that perfect match be found.
