I am all those things I seek in my ideal match. I’m not ready to “settle down” to endless nights watching television and letting life pass me by. I am equally happy in the countryside and the city. Living in the countryside (my preferred choice) my main pursuits are walking (often with a dog -
not my own) including trail-walking, and gardening but I also have an eclectic taste in music. I love to travel. I like the opera, concerts and ballet - not too highbrow - and most often now I enjoy them via live-streaming at my local cinema. I go to the cinema to watch a good film and like to eat out in a pub with character, or restaurant. I watch very little tv and will “binge” on catch-up tv rather than watch soap operas! Other than walking/trekking, I’m not a sporty person (although I played golf for a while and was even Ladies' Captain) but I readily accept that many men are, and will have their particular interests. Distance is vitally important.

I seek someone who has a zest for life. Someone who is kind, considerate, courteous and has social graces. Someone who will dress appropriately (ie “smart casual” for a “date”) but will rise to a higher standard when the occasion demands. Yes. I seek a gentleman, who is a non-smoker and is only a moderate drinker (if at all), who is in a good state of health, has a sense of humour, and is financially sound. A tall order!
