BUT, I am quietly confident, romantic, amusing, creative, kind, faithful, well-mannered, well-spoken and when the occasion calls for it, well-dressed. I am a country man and deeply attached to the English countryside and coast.
Happy with beachcombing, mindfulness, breakfast in the garden on a summer morning, rambling through the countryside and stopping to look at the view, sitting outside until it is too dark to see, spontaneity and fun, good conversation, plenty of laughter, red wine and black coffee - and a thousand other lovely moments of togetherness.
Widowed for six years, I long to meet a lovely lady with whom I can find that special chemistry, and who shares my love of life in the country. Home is a rural cottage with soil and plants, masses of books and an old terrier.
As a professional Horticulturalist I have a seriously good garden and am happy to get my hands dirty and 'stuck in' in life.
I enjoy eating outside, (open air) theatre, visiting art galleries and museums, and most of all, simply spending time together, holding hands and enjoying each other's company. I am interested in history, art, architecture, style and design.
My photographs are very recent. Friends describe my looks as 'distinctive', so perhaps I fall somewhere between average and attractive?
