About her
I can be very quiet and contemplative or outgoing and lively, but I am worth getting to know. I would say that wouldn’t i? I like history and visiting historic buildings; National Trust properties (but not the ‘woke’ agenda); beautiful landscapes and gardens; the theatre; humour; eclectic taste in music (including classical, pop, reggae but not RAP or modern jazz); I like interesting people and good conversation, and I love learning new things. I am also interested in travel. Over the last few weeks I have realised that I’ve started to take an interest in television again. Perhaps that’s because of a more interesting programming schedule or because I’ve rediscovered the remote control when I looked under the sofa!
My current hobbies include line dancing, fitness classes, yoga, reading, and I have recently returned to piano lessons after a considerable gap! I love music, but am not a competent pianist, I play for my own pleasure and emotional satisfaction. I believe that learning is lifelong and some of the courses and activities I have pursued reflect this belief.
I have changed my profile information to reflect that I had a good Christmas and now the scales have told me so! New photographs include Hallowe’en in Florida where dressing up is almost compulsory, and one of my alter egos, the wicked witch in pantomime! My attitude to life is that it is to be lived to the best of your ability. Yes, you can feel down at times, but that is no reason to make those around you miserable, so that’s when a positive attitude is helpful. I do try to live by this maxim.
