Never good at selling myself. But here goes;
Rural dweller who loves the countryside and its wildlife, enjoys going for walks, having a coffee and some intelligent conversation.
I do yoga and do a short run most days. Not into rural 'sports' though, which usually involve killing another creature, do not support the green agenda, as I can see what effect it's having on the countryside.
Love animals, always had a cat, a home is not a home without a cat.
History is my discipline,. I very much enjoy visiting historic sites, plenty I haven't seen yet but working on it! Just need to be a touch less busy. Problem is, I would actually prefer to live in the past than have to tolerate what I interpret as the collapse of rational society that we see today.
Enjoy a simple existence, don't have a smartphone, just a desktop and a mobile. Not good with tech, although I work remotely.
Good sense of humour, I'm an optimist and someone who likes to be doing stuff most of the time. Definitely not one who likes to lie in bed all day,
Don't really do evenings, so not really one for wining and dining, prefer active days out and a peaceful evening with a book in front of my woodburner.
Wide ranging interest in music, anything from Dvorjak to Def Leppard. But find very little appeal in anything post 2000,

Just looking for a companion, not sure I really want any form of committment at this moment in time, just someone initially to be in touch with and enjoy getting to know.
Good sense of humour, kind, considerate, intelligent and not prone to being miserable or a candidate for anger management therapy - and doesn't drink too much!
Perhaps with an interest in history, the countryside, likes long country walks and is kind to animals. And someone who, like me, wants to protect rural Britain from all forms of development - be it housing, retail parks, roads, more Greggs and Costa (although I do like Costa), wind tubines, battery storage units or holiday parks. Definitely allowed to be a Grinch when it comes to any of those.
