About her
Hello! I’m honest, loyal and trustworthy. I enjoy appreciating the small beautiful things in life. Good communication is a must, being able to ask questions and listen. I like to think I’m a good communicator. I am not driven by money but I enjoy good taste. I love art, culture, architecture, classic design, rustic design, clothes, hats, my dog, Willow. I enjoy an eclectic music taste, being taken to folk festivals by my parents, gave me insight into the joy of music. I enjoy my home and my garden. I am from Cambridge but moved to Sheffield for the Peak District. I am most alive in beautiful countryside. I enjoy a satirical and ironic sense of humour and try to see the funny side of situations, where possible. I enjoy interesting and well written tv and film. I dislike social media and being stuck on a phone. Life is too short for the likes of Love Island et al! And I dislike the pornification of relationships. I love romance and being playful. My politics tends to be middle ground but with the onset of woke ideology, I am surprised to find myself leaning more to the right. I have enjoyed visiting countries, being drawn to local rustic communities, and rustic properties in beautiful locations, rather than being drawn to over populated tourist traps. Although a good day out at a local seaside town is always perfect. I adore mountains and equally love the sea.
Annoyingly, I am currently in the process of retiring on health grounds. I have lived with ME / CFS for most of my life and have managed an enjoyable career in the NHS.
My condition is limiting and I have had to make huge adjustments for this. So with my limitations, I won’t be suitable for everyone. But I am a lovely and good person. I believe kindness is an essential part of life and after being single for 6 years, I think I am ready to see if I can find a compatible man. I’d love a soul mate to approach the precious life we’ve been given, together. With the knowledge that I do have restrictions.

I want a soulmate / long term relationship. And with the right person, marriage would be amazing. I am very traditional in how I view relationships and do not want open relationships, phone sex, I am interested in meaningful connections. But I’m keen that any communication is slow and if the connection is there, I do not want to be messaging loads of other guys at the same time. I don’t want games.
I think values and political views are important. So there is a lot to explore there together.
Being able to communicate well is essential. Being able to talk about problems calmly and sensibly. And being able to express your needs etc. conflict resolution is a great quality, I strongly dislike unnecessary arguments. Life is too short. I sometimes just need space to rest, so I hope you can have the patience to offer me this.
