About him
I travel a lot and would prefer to have someone in my life to accompany me and share the experience. Love warm weather, beaches (preferably fine sand, palm trees, and blue water) but also cities/new cultures, and history.
Have lived in both the UK and US for extended periods, currently own a small business in the US that i can manage remotely.
I have a good sense of humor (much of which my American friends don’t understand) and love to laugh. I’m pretty laid back, trustworthy, and loyal. My US friends would say i’m a true gentleman but it’s really just good manners. I’m as comfortable in a suit or Tux as jeans and a Tshirt. I do believe in living life to the fullest and experiencing things now rather than waiting - you never know what life’s going to throw at you tomorrow.
I’m a social introvert. I like alone time but crave social interaction. I tend to be quiet when first meeting people but soon warm up once the conversation starts. I don’t watch a lot of news (stopped during Covid and the first Trump presidential run) but i do like movies (in theatres and streaming), mysteries, and action. I do read a lot (mainly fiction) but these days i mostly listen to audiobooks or read online (hardcovers are heavy in luggage). I can cook (have to have a recipe to follow) and love cooking with others or just talking and sharing a bottle of wine if they prefer to cook solo. Like to try new restaurants and like most cuisine although if i had to pick a favorite it would probably be French.
I have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Family is really important to me but my kids have their own lives and i’m fine with frequent visits versus them being an integral part of my day to day life. I have family in the UK and US.
There’s a lot more to know about me but i’d prefer to talk about that when we meet rather than detailing everything here. Online dating is a first for me and i certainly didn’t expect to be dating at this point in my life.

Someone who is adventurous and likes to experience new things. Great if you’ve traveled a lot; would love to hear about places you’ve visited, but also fine if you haven’t - would like to find out where you’d like to go. If you’re an introvert, prefer you to be a social one. If an extrovert, probably not the extreme end.
Must have a great sense of humor. Being a good cook is a plus.
I don’t like people who are untrustworthy, manipulative, narcissists, drama queens. I’ve found the best relationships have been people with some similarities to me but also differences. It helps in a number of ways and leads to a more complete life experience..
