About her
Recently returned home to Scotland, via decades in Cornwall and France. I love to laugh, so looking for a matching sense of humour and optimism. I've been told I am outgoing, funny and resourceful. I live and work alone, so my social life and activities are very important. I love cooking, and inviting friends round. Hoping to find someone special, to share the good things in life.
(I am temporarily in Edinburgh, my home is on the East Neuk of Fife, by the sea)
Important to me: being European, equality, emotional intelligence, good conversation, compassion for others, keeping learning.
On my list: Camino de Santiago, more time in Italy and a Scandinavian trip. Seeing more of Scotland, finishing the Fife Coastal Path, writing more.
Things I don't like: soap operas, brussel sprouts, unfairness, arrogance, tories, footballers pretending they've been fouled, badly made gravy, tabloids, fake news, smokers, rudeness, not being able to get the lid off a jar and being told by someone I have met for 5 minutes, how I should run my career!
Things I do like: crispy roast chicken skin, the smell of fresh cut grass, sitting round a beach fire, good bed linen, mornings, (sorry!) sailing with the wind in my hair, making ceramics, men with beards, throwing a party, anchovies, Radio 4, 6, the News Quiz, irreverent jokes, skiing, freewheeling down a hill, the words pamplemousse and parapluie, sea swimming, drinking my morning tea watching the sun come up, and genuine, good people.

My ideal match (and we are talking perfection ideals here!) might be a confident, loyal man, who likes to have fun and has a sense of adventure. A good communicator, with a lovely voice. Someone who has 'done the work' of healing from the past.
Maybe he likes sailing, rugby or the outdoors, he definitely appreciates great food and wine. An autumnal walk, then a pint in a good pub with the papers, home for a Sunday roast?
