About him
I am a kind, intelligent and able guy who is pleasantly solvent, and while I enjoy theatre, comedy nights, city breaks, good restaurants and cosy pubs, I realise that it’s just little fun doing any of these things by myself.
I’ve enjoyed a year of massive change as I recently retired from teaching. A career designer with awards and patents led me, a decade ago, to embark upon the idea of giving experience and nurture to our next generation. But I was ready to retire once I could.
I am now looking for those new threads that are destined to appear in ‘life’s rich tapestry’, as I keenly make a fresh start, find a new obsession and rediscover my passion!
So, I am wondering if I have just been wrong that there isn’t likely someone out there who is interested in finding a connection, join in on those activities that are just not much fun doing alone, even someone seeking something that makes sense of it all…

I suppose that I have little regard for “status”, and therefore little time for people who try to throw their weight around, lording it over people who serve us is a particular bug-bear. So I’m not interested in a woman who feels ‘entitled’.
I’m into excellence, seeing someone do something at the top of their game is just so attractive! If you have a talent; you’re likely to get my attention.
Sport is therefore an area I enjoy, especially rugby, but if you’re put off by a man who enjoys occasionally watching sport, maybe look elsewhere.
Overall, aren’t we all hoping to find that spark? Someone simpatico and who shares our values? Someone you can freely talk to and look forward to seeing?
Meeting up soon would therefore be a preference; I don’t need a penpal.
