Suffice to say I don't take life, or myself, too seriously.
I enjoy listening to music especially classical but also contemporary and 70s/80s (my era!). I really like swing music too. I am a very rusty piano and guitar player.
I am interested in all things motoring, including both modern and classic cars but not particularly vintage. I sometimes attend racing events and I have completed various driver training and driving experiences. I recently enjoyed visiting 'Matthewsons' in Yorkshire ('Bangers & Cash' - ask me!).
I have a six month old cockerpoo called 'Harvey'. We enjoy walking along the cliff tops and beach where I live. I am very fond of animals.
I like to travel both home and abroad. I've tried some cruises to various locations and enjoyed them all. I've travelled quite a lot around Eastern Asia. Oh, and by the way, I don't eat sea food, except Scampi (again, ask me!)😳
I would describe myself as 'family orientated'. I have two grown up children and three beautiful granddaughters who I love to bits! (who wouldn't?).
I would say I am pretty relaxed in my outlook on life. I do enjoy going out to the theatre, meals, walks, socialising but I also enjoy staying in with a takeaway and cuddling up on the sofa to watch a romcom or even an action movie. I would say I am pretty adaptable to fit in with others. I am definitely a 'cup half full' person and always look for the positive side of things and I look for the best in people. I don't judge others and I 'speak as I find'.
I keep a reasonably clean and tidy house but not obsessionally so. I do like my car to be clean and tidy though and yes, obsessionally so!
I've been married twice. Don't hold it against me. It's not what I set out to do but it's how things turned out.

I may have another 30 years on this beautiful planet and I would like to spend it in a close loving relationship with a lady who is looking for the same. I am very open minded about any prospective partner's background be they white Caucasian like me or any other. It's all about the connection. I think it is very important to be honest and open with each other and not to bottle up feelings. Unlike a lot of men, I am not scared to talk about my feelings with you. My view is that a deep and meaning relationship develops over time, starting as friends and seeing what develops.
