Hello - great to meet you today!
Professionally, over the past 15 years, I have built a philanthropic community company, in nature based education & mental health & wellbeing, off grid in ancient woodland. I believe in the restorative powers of nature: land & sea. I`m now retiring, ready for the next chapter in life which is most likely to include boats!
I came into sailing late in life in 2021 & have a 9m sailboat of my own near Plymouth. I have recently returned (Aug 2024) from an amazing 6 week voyage crewing for a friend sailing from Dartmouth to the Algarve. It was life changing. Challenging at times with some rough sailing conditions! I just love being near or on the sea, although I don't do cruises or `all inclusive` beach type/package holidays. I prefer independent travel as I don't follow the crowd.
I`m one of the good people in life with a strong moral compass. Keen to give before I receive; honest, of happy disposition, loyal, loving & deeply care for my friends & family as well as the environment in which we all live & share.
I prefer outdoors to indoors, quality over quantity, sail over motor, small groups over crowds, rural over cities & prefer an old character cottage to a modern flat. I love a log fire, live music & theatre. I enjoy a country pub, quality fresh food - I love to cook. I believe that food is one of life's greatest pleasures to experience & enjoy - much like s*x really!!! I also ride an old BSA occasionally - when I can get it started!
I don't do drama or argue as I don't see the point! I am of calm nature, I love life & live from a place of gratitude every day!
Most of the time I'm dressed casually for the outdoors as that's my life. Although I can dress up for any occasion! I`m `All Woman` as a friend commented recently. I think that's a compliment!
I am an independent woman, self sufficient & not the needy type. I don't need a man to complete my life - just for us both to complement each others lives & bring each other another level of happiness.
