About her
Let's grow old disgracefully, this summer I've danced in the dark at a festival, been an extra in a BBC film, learned to salsa in Cuba and stayed in a renovated monastery and I want to continue to do fun things like this until the soul (and the knees) give up.
I love travelling and have done a great deal and would like to continue but with global warming very much in mind, it does't have to involve flying but NO I will not join you on a cruise, they would be my idea of hell.
I walk a great deal accompanied by my trusty hound and if possible by the sea where I can swim (the dog is a coward and won't) I surf and last year learned to paddleboard, only in a harbour so may not be trying it on the sea.
I don't want these years to be pathetic and 'elderly' but fun and I'm still keen to learn it's never too late for anything.
When I downsized I had to get rid of so many books but I'm glad to say that judicious use of the library and the Oxfam bookshop has kept by reading at a low cost and my bookshelves full. I like to own books as I need to refer back to them, they are friends.
I have no idea how my friends would describe me but my daughter says I am bat fit crazy, that may or may not help you.

I have no idea how to describe my ideal match. just a wonderful man, tolerant and kind, but I don't think I could cope with perfection. Basically I'm looking for a mature saint who'll put up with me and in return I will do the same......holes in jumpers, absent mindedness and some eccentricity are all welcome, as are dogs.
