About him
I'm a laid back and relaxed person with a dry sense of humour.
I'm an active, outdoors kind of person. I love cycling, whether it's a challenging ride in the mountains, or a chilled "café ride". I'm a keen skier although I won't win any awards for technique or style; a few years ago I started doing some entry-level ski touring, swapping the lift for climbing the mountain on skis with skins. I enjoy being on, or in, the water.
I get a deep sense of well-being from exercise, fresh air, wonderful views, and exploration of the world; and ideally punctuated with decent coffee and rounded off with a delicious meal. Snuggling up on the sofa of an evening is the perfect way to end the day.
It would be lovely to share some of those moments with a like-minded partner. Whilst I have my own passions and interests, I'm very open to new experiences.
I enjoy going to the cinema. I read occasionally, but I'm not a voracious reader. I love music, from indie to classical, and enjoy going to gigs and concerts. I enjoy travel, but prefer something activity-based rather than lounging by the pool.
I'm not especially gregarious, I prefer a small group of friends at a lunch or dinner around the kitchen table, to a large crowd of acquaintances at a drinks party. I'm always up for a pub quiz, or tackling the crossword.
Professionally, I followed an early corporate career with a couple of successful entrepreneurial ventures. I now work part-time.
Having divorced a few years ago, I'm embarking on a new chapter in my life. Life is infinitely more enjoyable and rewarding when you share it with the one you love.
