About her
My friends and family would describe me as honest, open, caring, funny, adventurous and a just a bit mad. I’m not the skinniest woman but not the largest either. I’m told I don’t look my age but that’s for you to judge -‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder etc.’
I worked in high pressure IT roles for most of my long career and retired a few years ago. I’m well travelled but would love to see more of the world and would like a companion to travel with and enjoy life.
I love to draw and paint when I have time as I like to keep busy. I am a member of the University of the 3rd Age (U3A) and I attend Philosophy and Psychology classes and also singing for pleasure.
I love to read and can spend a lot of time quietly engrossed in a book, but I also enjoy socialising with friends and family, exploring country/village/seaside pubs and I am a fairly decent cook.
Life is what you make of it, it won’t knock on your door and take you anywhere so you have to jump in and see where it takes you.
About her ideal match
I’m looking for someone to enjoy life with, who likes similar things to me and can perhaps show me different things to enjoy. We would need to enjoy each other’s company, it doesn’t have to be a romantic match. It might be nice if it was but compatibility is first.
I would like someone who I can converse with, have fun, laugh (needs to have a good sense of humour). Maybe cook together, have meals in and out, visit places or just sit with a glass of wine and watch a film.
I’d like someone who also has their own friends/family and also spends time seperately with them too, it’s good to have time away from each other.
A deal breaker for me is smoking and mean spiritedness. Life’s a journey and there are many ups and downs, maybe we can travel together and see where it takes us.
