I hate filling out these things!
I'm told I'm friendly and fun loving. I can be quiet but it doesn't mean I'm not enjoying myself.
I like the arts, particularly visual art and music. I'm often described as a 'creative type' as I spent four years at art college. I also enjoy cooking, reading, eating out with friends, travelling and history. I enjoy learning new things and I sometimes think I am the eternal student. I have just finished a MA and hope to do a PhD at some point.
I eat most things apart from meat but I'm not a strict vegetarian as I sometimes eat fish. I don't often drink alcohol and don't have a favourite drink.
I currently work part time but consider myself more or less retired.
I spent twenty five years working for one of the emergency services, but I have also done other jobs such as working as an artist and being a veterinary nurse amongst other things. I currently work for a well known high street store but I'm not a shop assistant or a cashier and neither do I work on the admin side of the company. I can often be found walking on the shop floor though.
I love all animals and enjoy their company though I don't currently have any pets myself.
I enjoy travelling and used to live in France which I really liked. I am both a Francophile and a Francophone. I also really love the US and Canada.

I worked for the emergency services for twenty five years so someone with a similar background who understands the experiences and working conditions would be good but not essential.
You don't have to share my academic interests, but will need to understand that occasionally I have to concentrate on them as deadlines have to be met.
I'm a foodie so it would be helpful if you were too.
I like most types of music, but my friends say I will be a rock chick until I die so please like music of some sort of another. It would be nice to have company for gigs. If you're a musician, great!
A deal breaker would be someone into bloodsports and who didn't like animals, especially cats as they are my favourites.
