About him
Thanks for popping by :) I’m fit, healthy, active and slim, still got my own knees, hips and a decent head of hair but no tattoos, sorry to those of you who like a bit of ink!
Mixed range of interests, easy-going, decent sense of humour, tolerant, caring … all true but isn’t this what everyone writes?
Probably better to say that I look ahead and want to believe that some of the best stuff is yet to come. Would love to share whatever the next chapter holds with someone special.
I've worked in sport media, writing, for long stretches of my life but I'm not defined by its narrow confines, I'm equally happy travelling somewhere new, watching arthouse cinema and theatre, conjuring up an Ottolenghi recipe as getting out on my bike, walking, being a spectator at rugby or enjoying social golf.
I don't think it’s crucial to have identical interests as hopefully we can open up new worlds for each other but I am much happier around positive, optimistic non-judgemental people with a ‘can do’ approach and who want to get out and feel the breeze.
Finally, I’m self-employed, semi-retired - I still have a couple of writing outlets in the summer and tick over the rest of the year helping a tree surgeon friend on odd days when he need an extra pair of hands - and solvent, no children but lucky to have great friends and family. Just missing one thing in my life, and it’s not a tattoo (though I don't mind if you've got one)

Kindness and tolerance are extremely attractive qualities. After that it's down to that (so far!) elusive quality of chemistry and whether - very important this - we can enhance each other's lives.
For me, that means sharing high quality time together while still being mindful and respectful of the lives we already lead ... a bit like adding icing to an already very good cake.
