Widowed after 42 years of a happy marriage and now ready to move forward. I'm young at heart, easy going and kind hearted. I think my friends would say I'm sincere, loyal, respectful, genuine and good fun to be with. I retired a good few years ago and then became a volunteer worker until Covid came along. I've always been a keen sportsman and while I've remained very fit, I only participate in golf now. I enjoy watching most sports especially rugby, taking walks in the countryside as well as eating out which is way better than my home cooking; going to the theatre and cinema. I am fair skinned so I'm no sun worshipper and prefer cultural and relaxing holidays both in the UK and further afield with Italy being a favourite. I have a positive outlook on life and the glass is always half full. I'm a pet lover although I don't have pets at the moment and I'm a keen DIYer and like being busy.

I hope to meet a sincere genuine lady with some common interests, but not necessarily essential as I am happy to explore differences with the right person. Someone who is equally happy to be out and about as well as say spending quieter time watching a good film or listening to music.
