About her
I’m cheerful, optimistic and calm (most of the time). I adore my three children and five grandchildren and my first puppy who is currently wrecking the house and making me laugh every day.
I like to relax with a book, preferably in the sunshine with a glass of wine by my side. I love the countryside and my unruly garden.
I’ll turn my hand to most things; when I was a student I swept the roads during the holidays.
Since retiring I’ve become a surprisingly successful published author with eleven murder mysteries under my belt.
I enjoy travelling and spent three years living in Belgium eating frites and drinking Belgian beers. These days I prefer sunnier locations.
I’m a fan of history, I’m currently rereading the Shardlake novels, and I love opera and musicals although I suspect my dream of West End fame will never be realised.
I like to watch sport, especially tennis from the comfort of my own home. I really don’t get football.
Sadly I became a widow recently after 45 happy years, but I want to enjoy the autumn of my life and would love to spend time with a like-minded man.
I’m not ruling out writing another book or two, and I’d like to try new things and maybe travel, but my road-sweeping career is definitely over.
