About him
I think that I'm very good company with a good sense of humour, eclectic music tastes, I'm sometimes (often?) contradictory (but it always works inside my head!), shy extrovert, competitive, impulsive, procrastinator, but always fun to be with. I'm normally very optimistic.
I have a few principles for life that I can happily share on request - as long as you promise not to start yawning after number two hundred and twelve.
I think the English language is a brilliant tool to put across feelings and emotions. I love writing and do a lot for my work, and on that subject - work has taken me to lots of strange places. Some far off the well trodden tourist trails.
I try to cycle most days but I'm not as competitive as I once was.
I'm comfortable in my own company but I've reached a point where it seems there's a void in my life and I want to be able to share, with someone special, our feelings,. That in a nutshell, is why I am sat here writing these words. I feel I'm a good listener and prefer to ask questions than simply give advice.
Though I do prefer jeans and shirt, I have been known to wear shoes that have been polished and trousers with a crease in them. In terms of manners, I'm quite old school conservative and for example I do open the car door for you and rarely swear in mixed company.
One of the pictures is of me having my annual beer last year in Amsterdam. I hope it doesn't give the impression that ale is a hobby! That was taken in 2022.

For me, its the smile after which everything is secondary! Comfortable in her own skin.
She should have opinions and be willing to exchange hers with me.
She would probably laugh at the same things as I do, and tolerate the fact that I can laugh at some very strange things.
She should be able to give and take gentle leg-pulling - it should never be malicious. We'd be mutually supportive, but that's a given really.
She should be able to communicate.
On the subject of deal breakers - definitely smoking, and to a lesser extent visible body art.
